Overview 

Got an idea for an application using Sigfox but need help implementing it? Want to learn more about what Sigfox could do for your business? In this 2-day hands on workshop you will learn how to develop applications with Sigfox with help from dedicated Sigfox trainers. Development kits will be provided and Hartree Centre staff will also be on hand to offer technical expertise. Applicants must be able to attend both days. Places are limited.

About Sigfox​
Sigfox is a communications protocol under the emerging area of Low Powered Wide Area Networks (LPWAN). Over the next few years the UK is expected to rapidly expand its LPWAN and Sigfox coverage, giving applications using this technology more widspread feasibility. The technology is expected to be a key driver in a new generation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices which use battery power that can last from months to years.

This workshop has been funded by ERDF and whilst it is offered free of charge to participating SMEs the value of this support is provided under Article 28.4 of the State Aid General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER). The value of this provision is £500 and this amount will count as part of the company’s GBER Article 28.4 state aid entitlement and should be cumulated with other GBER Article 28.4 aid received by your company/organisation up to a total allowance of €200,000 from the Member State within which it does business and which provides the aid over any period of 3 fiscal years.
