The Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) Daresbury Laboratory is one of only two UK locations where budding technology students and entrepreneurs can compete in the exciting international hackathon ActInSpace 2018.
ActInSpace is a unique opportunity for participants worldwide to work on creating business proof-of-concepts for a host of industry-set challenges, using patents, technologies and satellite data made available by CNES, ESA, Airbus and other programme partners.
Technical support and coaches will be provided by the STFC-managed ESA BIC Harwell, a business incubation programme focused on transferring space technologies into UK start-ups, and the STFC Hartree Centre, a centre of excellence in high performance computing, data analytics and cognitive technologies, making Daresbury the perfect location for UK participants wanting to solve a challenge using a digital or data-based technologies!

The event is open to business creators, students, entrepreneurs, users, creative thinkers, scientists, programmers and developers who want to work as part of team to solve industry led challenges using space technologies in only 24hrs!
